Why Consider Buying a House and Lot in Tanza, Cavite
Living in big cities, such as Metro Manila, can be both fun and thrilling. The dynamic and fast-paced environment, along with the idea of being at the center of civilization, encourages residents to keep up the hustle and bustle of the area and enjoy the energetic vibe.
This kind of lifestyle, however, is not for everyone. Some prefer to live in a laid-back community, far away from the noise that comes with living in a city.
If slow-paced and quiet living is more your thing, but you want the fast career advancement opportunities provided by major cities, consider Tanza as your next home.
A Glimpse of Tanza
Tanza is a coastal municipality and one of the 23 administrative divisions of Cavite. This place is where General Emilio Aguinaldo took his oath as the country’s first President.
Why Live in Tanza
Here are great reasons to reside in this wonderful municipality:
Fun Festivals
Tanza has two major fiestas: Araw ng Tanza celebrated in February and the Feast of Saint Augustine that happens in August.
Araw ng Tanza, which some call the LoHiTor festival, happens every 27th or 28th of February. LoHiTor is a shortcut that stands for Lobo, Higante, and Toro (Balloon, Giant, and Bull). The tradition for the locals in Tanza was to feature these symbols during the festival.
The parade that happens during Araw ng Tanza, however, doesn’t feature these three elements. Instead, the different schools in Tanza make colorful floats that educate tourists about the municipality. Festivalgoers get a chance to learn more about Tanza’s rich history and famous people.
Apart from the parade, which is a feast for the eyes, the festival serves food originating from Tanza. Visitors and residents alike will enjoy Pancit Estacion, a type of stir-fried rice noodle dish. The fiesta also features the traditional and tasty Sopas de Tanza biscuits.
Besides Araw ng Tanza, residents and local parishioners get together to celebrate the feast of St. Augustine (or Tata Usteng, as the locals call him) every 27th or 28th of August. The day begins with a mass (held every hour) at the Sta. Cruz Church.
Tanza also conducts pre-fiesta events, including the Binibini at Ginoong Tanza and a caracol street dancing performance. During the day itself, festivalgoers may attend a free concert at the town proper. The festival concludes with a stunning display of fireworks at the plaza.
Both festivals deliver fun and excitement to residents of Tanza. Locals can take part in these grand fiestas and promote the municipality to outsiders.
Rapid Urbanization
Tanza is going through a surge in urban growth. The fishing and agricultural sector is attracting investors, such as industrial firms, who want to put up their business in the municipality’s economic zones. A few of these investors are:
- International Container Terminal Services Inc., a leading port and terminal operator established by Filipino businessman Enrique Razon. The company is responsible for constructing the Tanza-based Cavite Gateway Terminal, the Philippines’ first (and only) roll-on, roll-off barge terminal.
- National Real Estate Developers
- A Power Company Looking to Put up a Solar Farm
Businesses that set up shops in Tanza are a welcome change for the locals. Companies can offer new job opportunities and increase the economic activity of the municipality. Additionally, their presence may boost the purchasing power of Cavite residents. This means that residents will be able to afford higher-priced goods such as gourmet food and big-ticket purchases like cars.
Accessibility to the Metro and Other Areas in Luzon
Residents from Tanza can take the Manila-Cavite Expressway (Cavitex) to get to Metro Manila in no time. The province of Cavite has excellent road networks that let you travel to other areas in Luzon, including Batangas and Laguna.
