Tanza Cavite Accessibility Metro Area

Tanza Cavite An ideal place to live in for people working in the Metro 1

Ways to Access the Metro from Tanza, Cavite

When you think of places to stay when you have a job in the National Capital Region, you’re probably thinking of cities like Makati, Pasig, or Mandaluyong. More and more people, however, are moving south to towns like Tanza, Cavite. It may seem like Tanza is too far from the metro, but recent improvements to the nearby Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEx) and developers creating transport hubs have made traveling to and from the town easier. Know all about this historic municipality and why it’s a great place to stay for people who frequently travel to Manila.

Tanza: An Ideal Place to Live In

Tanza is known as a farming town, which provides produce to its own citizens through the Tanza Public Market and to nearby municipalities in its province. Its industrial sector has seen growth, as it’s currently home to warehouses and factories like Cathay Farms, Dolphin Environmental System, and Transnational Paper Mills.

It’s home to great public and private schools. Notable examples include Cavite State University – Tanza and the Cavite campus of Lyceum of the Philippines University. Its residential industry is also flourishing, with housing projects like Micara Estates–Tanza providing affordable townhouses with up to 50 square meters of lot and floor area.

Just Minutes Away from Manila

Recently, more of its residents are getting jobs beyond the town and the province and in cities in Metro Manila. This is because it’s easier to commute to and from Tanza.

Developers like PRO-FRIENDS have made the Maragondon – Coastal Road route more accessible to its residents through its newly-minted transports, with buses, such as AAB, F. Villanueva Liner, and Saulog Transit, making regular stops to it. This route can easily take residents from Micara Estates – Tanza to the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX).

The Manila-Cavite Expressway also made recent improvements to its roads, as it constructed the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Expressway in 2016. This is connected to the Skyway, which makes it a breeze to drive to cities like Muntinlupa, Parañaque, Makati, and Taguig.

But just how far away are the prime metro destinations from Tanza and how do you get there?

Makati Central Business District

Makati is the Philippines’ richest city, according to the Commission on Audit. It has over 230 million pesos worth of assets in 2018, a whopping 34 billion pesos increase from the previous year. It’s way ahead of other towns like Quezon City, which placed second, posting only 87 billion pesos worth of assets in the same year.

This wealth is all thanks to Makati’s central business district, which is home to offices from different industries like accounting, law, media, and construction. It’s located in the west district of the city. Notable firms headquartered here include the Bank of the Philippine Islands, Philippine Long Distance Telecommunication (PLDT), and Makati Medical Center. You can also find Makati’s most popular malls like Glorietta, Greenbelt, and Landmark in the CBD.

Makati CBD is about 35.8 kilometers away from Micara Estates – Tanza.

How to Commute from Micara Estates:

  1. Take a shuttle service from the residential community to the main road. Board any bus going to the PITX.
  2. Ride a DNS Transport bus and get off at Landmark.
  3. You can walk to the mall of your choice or head to Landmark’s transport terminal to take a jeep to your destination.

How to Drive from There:

  1. Take the EPZA Diversion Road and drive straight to the CAVITEX.
  2. Before reaching Coastal Mall, take a left turn to the ramp to NAIAX.
  3. Once at NAIAX, follow the trail to the Skyway.
  4. Take the Skyway path to Makati.
  5. Take the exits either to Magallanes, Ayala, or Buendia, depending on your destination.

Driving back is also easy. Just take the Skyway, head to the NAIAX exit, and make your way to CAVITEX  again to head to Tanza. Commuting, however, is a bit different. You’ll have to take the southbound metro rail transit (MRT) train to Taft Avenue and take an orange jeepney to the PITX. You can then take a bus back to Tanza.

Ortigas Center

This 100-hectare business district is located within the territories of Mandaluyong, Pasig, and Quezon City. It started its rise as one of the most important business centers in the Philippines in the 60s when the Meralco Building and the Asia Development Bank complex were established. Now, it’s a hub for businesses, from business process outsourcing companies like Telus to malls like St. Francis Square, Greenhills Shopping Center, and SM Megamall.

Ortigas Center is 40 kilometers away from Tanza’s transport hub. This makes it about 5 kilometers farther than the Makati CBD. But commuting there is just as easy.

How to Commute:

  1. Take a shuttle service from the residential community to the main road. Ride any bus going to the PITX.
  2. Ride the UBE Express bus to Ortigas.
  3. Your stop will be at Robinsons Galleria – Ortigas. There, you can find jeepneys that go through the different parts of the business district.

How to Drive:

  1. Again, Head to CAVITEX  and make your way to NAIAX.
  2. Keep left until you reach the Skyway.
  3. Exit at Magallanes and take the ramp that leads to EDSA / C-4 Road
  4. Drive straight through C-4 until you reach SM Megamall. From there, you can take a right to find prominent buildings like San Miguel Corporation’s head office, the Philippine Stock Exchange, and the University of Asia and the Pacific.

When you need to make your way back home, take the C-4 road and turn to the ramp that leads to the South Luzon Express Way. There you’ll find a ramp to the Skyway as well. Take the NAIAX to CAVITEX. From there, you can drive straight ahead and exit at Tanza. If you’re commuting, take the southbound train from the Shaw Boulevard or Ortigas MRT stations to Taft Avenue. From there, you can follow the same instructions in the Makati CBD section.

Tanza continues to be a quaint town that’s driven by its strong farming and fishing industries. But it’s shaping up to be a prime destination for a new generation of families and young professionals with careers located kilometers away in Manila. With transport hubs like PITX, and roads like CAVITEX and NAIAX, coming home to the province every day has never been this convenient.
